Our story is one of a proud African-American family – a mother, daughter, and nephew-son – who have united to launch Afro Discoveries. For us, this isn’t just a business endeavor. It’s a profound reconnection with our roots and a celebration of heritage. It is about the resilience, pride, and belonging of our black sisters and brothers. This business is special to us because it’s driven by a heartfelt mission to foster understanding, unity, and reverence for African culture, while empowering their own community to reclaim their heritage and rewrite the narrative of their identity. We strive to ignite a movement—a movement towards cultural exchange, enlightenment, and a profound sense of belonging for generations to come.

Having traveled to three African countries, especially as an African-American, doing so has been a transformative experience that has awakened my identity. Each time I step onto the continent, I feel a powerful ancestral bond and discovered a profound sense of belonging. I gained a renewed pride in my heritage and a deeper understanding of the African diaspora's resilience and beauty. I have been forever changed!

By igniting this journey of self-discovery and adventure, I aim to foster a deeper understanding of heritage, promote cultural exchange, and inspire individuals to embrace their identity with pride and reverence.

As a 15-year-old, I discovered a place where I could truly be myself. Spending six months in South Africa opened my eyes to the power of support, love and learning of a culture adjacent to my own. The eurocentric indoctrination of who I saw myself to be began to peel away. My reality of self was broadened and the relationship with my ancestors deepened. I felt so liberated! Now, I'm eager to share that transformative experience with other African Americans for them to mold into their own. Our journey awaits, and I'm excited for what lies ahead!
