Travel Protection: Afro Discoveries strongly recommends that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance to help protect their trip investment and themselves while traveling. Coverage may include trip cancellation or interruption, emergency medical expenses, medical evacuation, baggage loss or delay, and other unexpected travel-related expenses.
Travel insurance policies vary by provider, and travelers are responsible for reviewing and understanding their policy, including coverage limits, exclusions, eligibility requirements, and applicable deadlines. Travelers interested in optional benefits such as Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage should be aware that these benefits may have specific purchase deadlines and requirements.
Afro Discoveries is not responsible for losses that are not covered by a traveler’s insurance policy.

These circumstances may include, but are not limited to, severe weather, natural disasters, government actions or travel restrictions, public health emergencies, epidemics or pandemics, civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, transportation disruptions, border closures, or the actions or failures of third-party travel suppliers.
When such circumstances affect a trip, Afro Discoveries will make reasonable efforts to adjust the itinerary or travel arrangements when feasible. Payments: The deposit amount, payment schedule, final payment deadline, and other payment requirements applicable to each trip will be provided at the time of booking. Detailed information about the accommodations, including their names, locations, and amenities, will be provided in your detailed itinerary.

Accommodation Policies: Travelers must comply with the policies and regulations of the accommodations. Failure to adhere to accommodation policies may result in additional charges or expulsion from the accommodation without a refund.
Damage to Accommodations: Travelers are responsible for any damage caused to accommodation or property during their stay. Any charges for damage will be billed directly to the guest.
Liability: Our company acts as an intermediary between travelers and accommodations and is not responsible for any issues arising from the accommodation’s services or facilities. Any disputes or claims related to accommodations must be addressed directly with the accommodation management.
Meals & Dietary Requests: Included meals are based on the restaurant, accommodations, and excursion’s set menu or buffet and usually represent local cuisine. Vegetarian options are available in most locations. Other special dietary requests cannot be guaranteed.
Excursions & Activities: Times listed in itineraries are approximate and meant only as guidelines. It is your responsibility to arrive on time for all scheduled excursions, meals, and other scheduled activities. Arriving late may be considered a “no-show”, in which case you will not be eligible for refund for the unused service(s).
Due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather conditions, there may be last-minute changes, sometimes after arrival, affecting the sequence of the tour and/or locations visited. Therefore, we reserve the right to adjust the sequence, substitute, and/or cancel any scheduled activity. Any refund, credit, or adjustment resulting from such a change will be determined based on the circumstances, including amounts recoverable from suppliers and the terms applicable to the affected service.

Traveler Conduct & Group Experience: Afro Discoveries is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful, safe, and enjoyable experience for our travelers, local partners, hosts, guides, and the communities we visit. Group travel requires consideration, flexibility, and respect for others, as well as an appreciation for the cultures, customs, and traditions of each destination.
Travelers are expected to behave respectfully toward fellow travelers, Afro Discoveries representatives, guides, drivers, hosts, community members, service providers, and others encountered during the journey. Travelers are also expected to follow reasonable instructions provided by Afro Discoveries, our local partners, guides, accommodations, transportation providers, and activity operators when those instructions relate to safety, scheduling, local requirements, or the successful operation of the trip.
Behavior that threatens the safety, well-being, dignity, or enjoyment of others will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, threatening or abusive behavior, harassment, discrimination, violence, excessive intoxication, illegal drug use, repeated disruption of group activities, disregard for local laws or customs, or refusal to follow reasonable safety or operational instructions.
Afro Discoveries reserves the right, when reasonably necessary to protect the safety, well-being, or overall experience of the group, to restrict a traveler’s participation in an activity or remove a traveler from the trip. When circumstances reasonably permit, Afro Discoveries may first attempt to address the concern with the traveler before taking such action. However, immediate action may be taken when necessary for safety or the protection of others.
A traveler who is removed from an activity or trip because of their conduct will be responsible for any resulting expenses, including alternate accommodations, transportation, cancellation fees, or arrangements to return home. Unused portions of the trip will be nonrefundable, and the traveler will also be responsible for reasonable costs incurred by Afro Discoveries or its partners as a direct result of the traveler’s conduct or removal.
Travelers are responsible for complying with the laws and regulations of the countries and communities they visit. Afro Discoveries is not responsible for consequences resulting from a traveler’s violation of local laws, regulations, customs requirements, or the policies of third-party service providers
Special Requests: Any special requests (e.g., dietary requirements, room preferences) must be communicated to us at the time of booking. While we will make every effort to accommodate your requests, we cannot guarantee that all special requests will be fulfilled.
Accessibility & Assistance: Travel experiences may involve walking, uneven terrain, stairs, transportation with limited accessibility, remote locations, and facilities that may not meet U.S. accessibility standards. Travelers who require accommodations or assistance are encouraged to contact Afro Discoveries before booking so that we can discuss the requirements of the itinerary and determine what accommodations may reasonably be available through our suppliers and local partners.
In order to participate in our tours, travelers must be able to understand and follow instructions given by the guides at all times, both for the successful operation of the tour and as well as for their own personal safety and the safety of other participants.
Please be aware that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is only applicable within the United States and facilities for disabled individuals are limited outside of US borders. Facilities outside of the United States may not have ramps, wide entryways or elevators/lifts to accommodate disabled passengers or devices such as wheelchairs, walkers and motorized scooters. Due to physical constraints and space limitations, wheelchairs, walkers and motorized scooters may not be taken aboard motor coaches or other forms of transportation.
Medical Services & Health Requirements: Afro Discoveries trips do not include the services of a physician, nurse, or other medical professional. If a traveler requires medical attention during a trip, Afro Discoveries or its local partners may assist, when reasonably possible, in contacting available local medical or emergency services. Afro Discoveries cannot guarantee the availability, accessibility, or quality of medical care in any destination.
Travelers are responsible for all costs associated with medical care, emergency services, medications, hospitalization, medical evacuation, additional accommodations, transportation, or other expenses resulting from illness, injury, or a medical emergency.
Travelers are responsible for determining whether they are medically and physically able to participate in their selected trip and are encouraged to consult with a qualified healthcare provider before traveling, particularly when an itinerary includes physically demanding activities, remote locations, high altitudes, extreme climates, or other conditions that may affect their health.
Travelers are also responsible for reviewing and complying with current destination-specific health, vaccination, testing, and entry requirements, as well as considering health recommendations issued by appropriate governmental and medical authorities. Requirements and recommendations may change at any time and may vary based on destination, itinerary, nationality, travel history, or individual health circumstances.
